A master's job is
never done, it lives on through the ages.
The annual Installation of Officer's was held on January 8th and musical selections were played by Mr. Alex Molnar. After which refreshments were served in the dining hall.
In February there was a trip to Big Creek to confer a third degree by the degree team of Southern California Edison Company. A fine meal was enjoyed at Shaver Lake before the degree and there was a large crowd in attendance for the degree.
On May 19th there was the annual Past Master's night and as always there was a big crowd in attendance. In June there was a 50 year pin presentation for Brother Granville Edwards a 44 year member of Clovis Lodge, demitting there in 1922.
In July it was decided to have the exterior of the Lodge painted and that bids were out for the contract for the job. Also work had been done to the cooling system. The annual picnic was enjoyed by those few who chose to attend.
In November there was another degree in Big Creek with the Southern California Edison Company Degree Team conferring the degree. In the elections of December, Bro. Louis Dwight, the Organist for Clovis Lodge for so many years decided not to take the position again and thereby officially retired. He was the Organist for Clovis Lodge for many years and was delightful in his skills as a musician. |
